Karnafuli 3 launch catches fire in Chandpur

A Dhaka-bound launch from Bhola, Karnafuli -3,  caught fire in the middle of the River Meghna in Chandpur district on Saturday morning.

Confirming the matters Messrs Brothers Navigation manager Md Alauddin said, ‘The launch caught fire from its engine room at about 11:00am in the mid river in Chandpur. The launch was taken to the bank of a char in the river.’

 

He said that no casualties were reported in the incident as they had dropped about 300 passengers.
